Week 8: Comments and Feedback

I really feel like the comments and feedback are a great addition to this class. First, it is cool to be able to get to know some of the other kids in this class especially since it is an online class. Second, because of all the resources out there about feedback, both positive and negative, I really feel like the feedback I get is helpful and encouraging. Adding to that, I feel like with all the resources available and the fact that we get to go through so many different people's stories, I get to give useful feedback to others. I think the most useful kinds of comments can be the ones that quote an exact part of your story and say what they thought about it, or the ones that really give constructive criticism. However, the ones that give positive feedback and state specifically what they liked about the story is helpful too.

Looking forward, I am looking forward to going back through people's stories that I have already read and seeing how they have improved. I think that by keeping in mind that they will want to get feedback that is useful, just as I do, this will be key in making sure everyone puts out stories that are of the highest quality.

Overall, feedback just means that there is always room for improvement and growth. It is important because there is always something that can be learned from others opinions, so it is important to be open to all of that. This is the growth mindset cat meme that I find to be the most relatable:

Introduction

Hey everyone, my name is Stephanie Krawczyk. I'm from Tulsa, Oklahoma and I am beginning my senior and final year here at the University of Oklahoma studying Chemical Engineering. Although there are a lot of cool things about m major, I think the coolest thing about my major is that even though I have learned so much in my time here, there is so much out there to discover and continue learning! I love my family and I love that Tulsa isn't too far of a drive from them. And they can make the trip up to see me too. I have a younger brother, Adam, who just moved into his freshman year at the University of Arkansas, and I am so excited to see where his life takes him in the next couple of years. Week 11 Storytelling: The not so Wiley Coyote

Once there was a coyote, and all he wanted in life was a friend. He often caught himself watching all of the other animals, saddened, thinking to himself, "I wish I could fly like the bird" or "I wish I had such beauty as the ." But all of the other animals were warned about the coyotes kind. They were warned to stay away, because he was a dangerous creature. The coyote wanted to prove to the town that he was actually good, so he devised a plan that would surely show all the other animals that he was not bad. The coyote began to gather flowers and plants of such beauty, and he began to weave them into a banner that he planned to hang above the two main trees in the village. As he was setting up this banner, he noticed a roadrunner trot by and as he was admiring him, he forgot to attach the final piece of vine that would fully attach the banner.
